Howdy, I’m Tux! My friends call me Tuxie and I’m a huge tuxedo cat with the long fur and tufty toes and ears of my Maine Coon cousins, just no fancy papers to go with. I came to Happy Cats when I was found trying to survive outside and am so happy to be an inside cat now!
I must have had a good kittenhood because deep down, I really love to be stroked and loved. However, I also must have had bad experiences on the street because I start out as a Funny Valentine, hiding at first and wary of hands. I will need to have a secluded spot where I can feel safe while I learn about my new environment and my new family.
Once I know I’m safe, I will come running to my name and be your best big Snuggle Bunny! I meet my favorite people at the door with sweet mews, ready for pets and headbonks. My foster mom says I’m a Sidecar Cat who likes to snuggle right next to you, nicely sharing laptop space. You’ll know when I’m a happy camper with my soft purr.
I will need regular combing to keep up with floofy coat, but I don’t mind it as long as I get to tell you when to stop. Just a few strokes most days will keep the mats away.
Playtime is my favorite time of the day! I love just about any wand toy as long as I have plenty of room to pounce and play, as I’m such a big boy.
I really like other cats and should do well as long as they’re nice cats like me. Because I start out shy, I’ll probably do best in a quieter home without the noise and activity level of young children or dogs.
