The weather cooled (a bit!) and the smoke cleared in time for a lovely evening for our Midsummer Cat’s Dream party at Little London Market in downtown Colorado Springs.
We had tasty food from House of Yakitori 5, Panino’s Downtown, Wild Ginger Thai Food and Heart of Jerusalem.
We also had scrumptious desserts from Little London Cake Shoppe, Mya Bella Cupcakes, Patsy’s Candies and Pikes Peak Chocolate. We even inaugurated our first official Happy Cats Cookie: Catface Shortbread!
We toasted in the Solstice with wine from Sovereignty Wines and beer from Bristol Brewing Company.
John Wise, Susan Rissman & Tribe and Amber Sterner from The Magenta Incident provided fabulous music all evening out on the dock.
Our spirits were lifted with fun and fine art from lots of different artists, including Leslie Armagost, Diann Wacks, Sandy Applegate, Michelle Wolff, Diane & Phil Vallejo, Sally Grew, Chrystal DeLa Cruz, Shelah Dow, Cathy Dailey and Kathleen Furr.
Jeri from Gigi’s, Linda from Rescued Hearts and Alan from Pawpads & Condos provided all the cat accoutrements we could ask for.
The creative setting at Little London Market was made even better with help from Colorado Springs Wholesale Florist, Snow White Linen and the Antler’s Hotel. We had great help from many of our volunteers but especially from Trish, Misty and Lindsay, who went the extra mile for us!
We had a great time and look forward to the next installment, a 3-month run of animal art on the Cat Dreams theme at the beautiful gallery space in the waiting room of Bear Creek Veterinary Care, courtesy of Dr. Fernyak and crew.
Please remember our sponsors the next time you’re hungry, thirsty or in need of something creative 🙂 and support those who support our cats & kittens. See you next year!
