El Pomar Foundation Invests In New Building for Happy Cats Haven
Grant of $10,000 will extend efforts to save more animal lives in the Pikes Peak region.
Happy Cats Haven announces the award of a $10,000 grant from the El Pomar Foundation to support its efforts in renovating and opening a new rescue and adoption center in Manitou Springs. The new location will triple the square footage that the rescue will have available to shelter cats and kittens. It is slated to open in Summer 2017.
Happy Cats Haven is a nonprofit organization and rescue center for homeless cats and kittens in the Pikes Peak Region of Colorado Springs. A Feline Friendly Shelter that guarantees safe haven for all cats that come into the shelter, it is the Happy Cats philosophy that cats are valuable, lovable and trainable—not disposable. Feline Friendly means that cats are treated as individuals–with respect, compassion and positive reinforcement–to make their stay as stress-free as possible until they are adopted.
Since 2011, Happy Cats Haven has found homes for almost 1600 cats and kittens in the El Paso County region. “We are proud to say that we work hard to make the perfect match for each of our cats and kittens and provide all of our adopters with lifetime support,” said Sara Ferguson, Executive Director of Happy Cats Haven.
