I’m not Plane Jane, I am a smooth girl named Vanilla! As you can tell by my blue eyes and long fur, I have some Himalayan or Siamese heritage in my background. I came to Happy Cats with another kitty because our family split up and they could no longer care for us. I was born in Canada but the U.S. has been my home for many years and I love being in Colorado however, I really would like to find myself a great retirement home.
Believe it or not, I am a senior kitty who just had a clean bill of health from one of the veterinarians that partners of Happy Cats. I am very sweet but I do like my space. I will likely curl up next to you and enjoy your skritches and gentle loves. Don’t get me wrong, I am not cranky at all but right now, with all the changes that have been going on in my life, I’m needing you to be patient with me and allow me to love on my terms. I will look up at you with my beautiful eyes and let you know I would love a scratch or a rub. With my longer coat, I will need regular brushing but this gives us bonding time! Nothing is sweeter than the bond between you and me!
I’ve lived with other cats and a nice dog, so I may do fine with either once I’ve gotten settled with a gentle introduction. I will probably do best in a home without super active dogs or small children, as I’m appreciating a more quiet life these days.
It’s Adopt a Senior Pet Month so through November I only have a $30 adoption fee, plus up to $1000 worth of medical care with one of our veterinary partners for the first year, courtesy of the Lauretta Boyd Foundation. My adoption includes important virus testing, spay, microchip, vaccinations, food and litter starter kit. I know you will appreciate my sweet nature and my expressive eyes but you can’t appreciate them if you don’t come on down to meet me.
You can click here to download an Adoption Application for me, fill it out and send to firstname.lastname@example.org. Someone should get back to you within 48 hours after you send it in. If you’d like to contact someone more quickly, please call Happy Cats at 719-362-4600.
