Shadow was our goofy rock star, an awesome but thin Maine Coon mix, 42″ from nose to tailtip with a stretch of 44″ high. He came to Happy Cats in a carrier so small he couldn’t even stand up, packed in the trunk of a car. For a big cat, he was pretty scared, but even that didn’t dampen his affection for humans.
Shadow is now Loki, living with a nice couple in the foothills up north. They found him a food he loves and he’s gone from a very skinny 14 pounds to a healthy 18 pounds. He still has his ear cysts but is scheduled for surgery soon, now that his health is better.
His guardian Anisa says, “He is *extremely* fond of curling up on freshly laundered clothes neatly folded in a laundry basket. Dirty clothes apparently do not have the same appeal….notice how he sticks his paws thru the carrying handles.” Apparently his little friend to the right thinks this is amusing too.
It’s clear that Loki, named after the Norse god of mischief and son of a giant, has become a true part of this household, with his antics at sink, tub, computer and laundry basket. As Anisa says, “He has us wrapped around his *very* large paws, & we just adore him.” We did too…and we’re so happy he found you!
